This Custom Home is located on a narrow interior lot in West University Place, a neighborhood in Houston. The front façade is minimal and uses texture to break down the overall massing of the design. The focus turned towards the backyard to create an oasis and open up the back of the house to provide views of the pool. The main feature is the dining room with floor to ceiling sliding glass patio doors and adjacent floor to ceiling windows to match. The homeowner calls this the “Fishbowl”. Exterior improvements included a complete renovation of an existing pool and using artificial turf in the entire backyard. Albarran Architects provided full Design + Build Services.
